My Solo BFA Exhibition was entitled, not a dump, and centered around the topic of environmental injustice. Environmental Injustice is the concept that some communities are disproportionately subjected to higher levels of environmental risk than other segments of society, based on race and social class. I intended to communicate with my viewers, to engage, interact, and provoke them. After learning about this topic I felt a responsibility to address the issues and bring awareness.
